L'AGGUATO, L'ABBANDONO, LA METAMORFOSI (previously released as L'AGGUATO, L'ABBANDONO, IL PAESAGGIO) is a collection of songs and chamber pieces composed between 1990 and 2002. A journey across the themes of memory, life-cycles and landscape, constantly developed in eleven years activity in works for radio, theatre, installations, chamber music, texts and photographs. The perception of the World as a constant flowing, a look at the rhythms of landscape and at the poetical metre, the abandonement of former realities, journey as an inner exploration…the wilderness…the flight…
The pieces develop through open structures, in slow changing; circular melodies bounce on infinite series of chords as a stream of consciousness, nullifying the traditional relation-ship between strophe and refrain; text, melody and harmony are put into the same significance level, dwelling between stasis and movement.
More similar to chamber music pieces than to real pop songs, the pieces are scored for voices, guitars, bass/double-bass, keyboards, flute, clarinet, bassoon, percussion and electronics.
